Welcome all shopaholics – putting out the call for all things beautiful – things that you love, things that you have to have! For all those who know what it’s like to see something and just know that it’s meant to be yours come in, come in! And for all those who can’t help but smile inside when you get a great deal on that item you’ve been watching all season, sit back and read away. I am a self-confessed shopaholic. I am one of the reasons why designers can continue to sell variations on a theme – of course new seasons are different! Even when classics return, they are never quite them same are they, fellow fashionistas?
Although my day job is not in this arena – I have tried to foray into the realm of style a few times before. I’ve taken classes in fashion styling just for fun, interned for free at a fashion magazine, and worked for the corporate office of a luxury department store. All were good learning experiences but where I get the biggest satisfaction is from reading magazines, searching websites, following the shows each season and shopping on a daily basis (either online or in stores). All this with the end goal of buying things I love at a great price. Granted this isn’t always possible but I try my best! Hopefully this blog will help some of you find something you love . Hi there – If you don’t know the designer at all – that definitely makes it tougher. Sometimes I will google the show’s name to see if others have searched for it. Sometimes I see things when shopping in malls so I already know what they are. Shopstyle.com is a good website to do generic searches if google is not working for you.
I watched Lie to Me last night and Jennifer Beals had on a gorgeous ash colored sheath with a double strand of black pearls. Do you have any idea how to find out the designer of the dress? I googled and to no avail.
