Couture is back! Let’s kick off this segment with Jean Paul Gaultier’s Mexico collection. He claims he was also influenced by Avatar but really these collections start crazy early and I’m not sure how much inspiration you can have prior to actually seeing the movie. Maybe he got an early screening? What I notice the most is the sombreros and some crazy looking aztec inspired outfits. There is also definitely a feel of nature with the grass-like attachments and woven segments of the clothing.
